You meet a lot of people during college. You have the partiers, the stoners, the nerds, and the jocks, just to name a few. You'll meet such a variety of people that you probably can't even list all the stereotypical categories that all these people fall into. However, there are ten people you will meet who will be the best people you have ever met in your life, and you will absolutely love them
The Best Friend-
This one's obvious. For me, this person is my roommate. Her and I have roomed together since freshman year, and she is absolutely one of my best friends on campus. She is the person that knows every intricate detail of my entire life, and listens to my complaints and trivial problems, even when the details become too much to handle. she is the person I stay up late with, eating a ridiculous amount of unhealthy food, and the person I sleep in with until noon the next day. She is the person I go out with, and noisily come back to the room with, Whataburger in hand. She is my roommate and my best friend, and your best friend is number one out of the five best people you will meet in college.
The Partier-
This is the person you meet in college that always seems to be out partying. Almost every night they are out with friends, and almost every morning they look a little rough. You are always amazed that they somehow figure out time to get their work done, and amazed that they have the energy to even be up out of bed in the morning. A Saturday night with nothing to do? You text this person, and they will definitely know what's happening around campus. Bored on a Friday night? Call this person and you'll be having fun within minutes. You love this person, and you respect this person for going as hard as they do.
The Study Partner-
This person always seems to be doing some sort of homework. Never out and always working, this person is the best when you need to be forced to sit down and focus for longer than five minutes. Getting the motivation to do any kind of homework after a long day of classes and work can be excruciatingly painful, but having this person on call will save your academic life. You admire their work ethic and discipline, and studying with them is always a good idea. Hang out with this person more, your GPA will appreciate it.
The Foodie-
This is the person that you always eat with. For me, this is pretty much all of my friends, but you always have that one person who knows the best places to eat around campus with the cheapest prices. Every time you go to a restaurant with them it's some sort of culinary experience that you taste buds can barely handle. You stuff your face with them, and waddle out with the biggest food baby you've ever seen, and you know there's absolutely no judgement. Eating is a huge part of my life, and knowing the best places to go makes my life that much easier.
The Foreigner-
This is the cultured one. The person who is considered an 'international student'. They have different experiences from yours, and provide such great stories and insight into your own life that you will come to love how different this person is. You can show them your way of life, and they can show you there's, and a beautiful friendship grows. Because sometimes we need to be reminded that there is a bigger world out there beyond our campus, and this person is always there to do just that.
