I have three fish, and honestly, I love them more than I love most people in my life. They demand very little and always greet me with a smile -- a small, happy, fish smile. Feeding them is a reminder to feed myself, and all-in-all they're just really wonderful, loyal companions.
I don’t have to train them to do cool tricks, but if it came down to it, I bet I could get a few flips out of them. If whales can do it at SeaWorld, I have absolute faith that Harry, Drake and Billy (my babies) could do it too.
And really, who needs the emotional support of other humans? Staring into their tank is the best therapy money can buy.
When's the last time your fish told anyone your secrets? Never. As great as dogs are, they can't hide their love for, well, everyone, including your enemies.
Basically, fish are beautiful, and if Nemo didn't make you cry, you should really re-evaluate your life.
