My first semester of college in a nutshell:
With finals starting next week, it is hard to wrap my head around the fact that this semester literally flew by so fast and a month long of relaxation and zero work to worry about is coming soon. With a lot of adjusting to do, I can say that I am reaching the finish line and can say I survived my first semester in college as a freshman. Sure, it wasn’t easy the first few days as I found myself waking up at the crack of dawn and not sleeping in because I was not used to necessarily “living” on my own. And if you know me this is definitely not known of me to do, being that I can sleep the whole day away if I could.
From football games to frat parties, college was definitely something different from high school and it is insane to think that I am essentially living in the best moments of my lifetime. They say your college years are the best and I am living in the moment which is awesome. I have met some of my best friends already while still managing to keep up with what I am here for, which is my studies.
One thing that I do miss for sure and am looking forward to over break is HOME COOKED FOOD. Sadly, I did not engage in the “freshmen 15”, and so far, have found myself in the freshmen -15 which sucks because of the food here. It definitely makes me appreciate living at home that much better. My dorm consists of fruit snacks, juice boxes and popcorn which do not fill you up for any type of meal forcing myself to eat the same thing at Jersey Mike’s every. single. day. While the food may not be so appetizing, I am happy to say that I am enjoying myself here at Rowan and look forward to what the Spring semester shall bring my way such as rushing and wanting to join a sorority????? Stay tuned for those updates!!
