First day of school is always the most exciting day of school no matter what grade your in. Everything is perfect-
- You always wake up on time.
- Your outfit is adorable from head to toe.
- You have a full supply of pens and pencils!
- Your notebook smells fresh.
- You’re so organized.
- Most importantly you are excited to be there!
Now what changes towards the end of the semester?
- You are rushing late to class.
- You look like you just woke up.
- You can’t find the last pens you owned so you have to steal one of those little pencils from the library.
- If you still have your notebook it is probably ripped apart in 10 pieces.
- You don’t even know what being organized means anymore.
- Finally you can’t wait to be done.
What causes this huge transition in students from all ages even through college?
It is a combination of laziness and memory loss. Let me explain-
The reason why people get lazy is because they forget WHY they are doing whatever they started. You start of strong, but you finish weak. To fix this, and trust me to reach your goals this should be fixed ASAP, all you have to do is write down your reason and read it everyday and I mean everyday. It is the only way to finish what you started 10 times stronger, because no one else is going to remind you why you should have a 4.0 GPA or why you should be on time to class everyday. I mean maybe your mom but who listens to what their mom has to say?
Remind yourself why are you doing what your doing. Once you focus on your WHY the path is clear and no one is stopping you. Not even the annoying professor with an accent who just finds any excuse to fail you.
