Though no one has ever asked me what my wristbands mean, I have been asked a couple of questions here and there, such as which one is my favorite. So, to answer that question, if you had it after reading my previous article, here are the first 10 (not in any given order) of my 30 current wristbands, what each one stands for and means to me, and (to the best of my ability) when and where I got them. I was originally going to have all 30 here, but the article got too long, so I'll save you the boredom.

So here it goes.

1. Voice Of The Martyrs Band

I received this band in June 2016, leading up to my school's annual BASIC (Brothers And Sisters In Christ) concert. It was to show our support for the organization. Voice Of The Martyrs is an organization that supports persecuted Christians around the world. On the outside, it contains the Arabic letter "N", which ISIS members used to identify Christians in Northern Iraq at one point. The "N" means Christian, or follow of Jesus of Nazareth, or The Nazarene. On the inside, it says "I will not let them serve/alone", and "I will not let them suffer in silence", referring to persecuted Christians around the world, since the media can often be silent when it comes to news regarding Christian persecution. Sometimes, this band can sometimes be a simple reminder for me to pray for my brothers and sisters who do not have the ability to worship God freely. This is one of two bands that I always make sure to have at the top of my collection, closest to my hand.

2. Jesus Jesus Jesus Band

I received this band some time earlier this year, though I do not remember when. I purchased it online from Clayton Jennings' online store. On the outside, it reads "Jesus Jesus Jesus" and #TellTheWorld, which is the "catchphrase" of Clayton Jennings, an evangelist whom I follow on YouTube and other media platforms. It is not only my support for him, but also it is a simple declaration of what I believe in: Tell the World that Jesus is Lord. This is the other of two bands that I make sure to have at the top of my collection, closest to my hand.

3. Ramapo Gryphons Band

I received this band sophomore year of high school, I believe. It was some time before our Pep Rally. It simply reads "Ramapo Gryphons", the Gryphon being the mascot of my high school. I also know that I got it to support my school, support my class by purchasing one, and as a reminder of my school and where I "came from", so to speak.

4. New York Blood Center Band

This wristband reads "New York Blood Center", and "Blood Donor", which I received senior year of high school when I signed up to donate blood. It was to show my support for the cause of blood donation in New York, and to show that I had been a part of it. Though, it's an ironic reminder of my blood donation, since the only time I could donate blood was junior year, since I couldn't senior year because when I went to do so, my nose was stuffy so they didn't want to risk taking my blood.

5. Hairspray/You Can't Stop The Beat Band

This wristband I received senior year of high school, when I saw my school's drama club's performance of "Hairspray." Additionally, I was also one of the people who ran the snack table during intermission. I have it as a reminder of a play that I enjoyed.

6. The Moment/#NYDYC16 Band

This wristband I received senior year of high school, in April of 2016. It was the wristband the attendees of the New York District Youth Convention 2016 in Syracuse, New York had to wear to get into the arena of the convention. It's also a continuation of the precedent I set with my very first wristband; a reminder of the convention I went to with my church family where I had lots of fun. It's also the end of said precedent, since I did not go this year (being I was in Maryland), and I don't see myself going in the future.

What "The Moment" refers to is still unclear to me, but my guess is that it refers to "the moment" we experience Jesus for the first time.

7. Ask First Band

This band I received sometime in April of this year, at my school's annual event of Shorefest. It reads "Ask First ... Respect The Answer". It is pretty much self-explanatory, and it shows my support for the work against sexual assault on women (and men too), being that second semester of college greatly increased my awareness of the issue.

8. Washington College Alumni Band

This band I received during one of my numerous, seemingly random, and somewhat pointless visits to the Alumni House at some point this semester, on my campus. The Alumni House is the epicenter of all things related to events for alumni of the college. My good friend Maria, who works at the house, gave it to me during one of my numerous, seemingly random, and somewhat pointless visits to her office, since she knows I like to collect them. Though I am still enrolled at the school and the band doesn't apply to me yet, years from now I'll look at the band with pride with my title of "Washington College Alumnus".

9. Pray For Israel Band

The most recent band to my collection. This band I received at House of Prayer's Night of Worship (I believe it's called) in New Jersey on June 12th. I got it for free instead of the $5 price, since I spoke to the lady who was selling them. It represents my recent desire to pray for the nation of Israel, since they are 1) God's chosen people/nation according to the Bible and 2) In danger in a way, being that, to my very limited knowledge, they have tense relations with surrounding nations, especially Palestine. So, the band serves as a reminder for me to pray for Israel.

10. Youth For The Nations Band 1

This is one of four bands I received during my trip to Youth For The Nations, a summer camp last year from July 23rd to July 27th, in Rome, New York. It is a white band that reads "Give Us The Nations 2K16!", which was the chant the entire camp group shouted when the teams ran into the tabernacle to begin the afternoon "Nation Games". This band is a reminder of the camp I went to where I had loads of fun and, if you've been reading my articles for a while and you recognize the name, it is the camp where I received my Word of Prophecy from God. So it is also a reminder of the week where I experienced God in a truly new way.

That's it for now. This will be the first of three articles pertaining to the significance of my wristbands to me.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
