Over a year ago, when I first heard that there was going to be a “Finding Nemo” sequel, I was in disbelief. There had been many rumors of other Disney-Pixar movies having sequels that never happened, so I was not too sure of the truth behind this rumor. However, this was then confirmed, and the hype and excitement for “Finding Dory” began.
“Finding Nemo” was, and still is, one of my favorite movies. I can quote pretty much the entire movie, and I would like to go to 42, Wallaby Way, Sydney and meet P. Sherman.
What does the release of “Finding Dory” mean to “Finding Nemo” fans, especially those of us who are old enough to have seen “Finding Nemo” in the theaters? It means that Disney-Pixar did not forget about us. They are not only creating new movies to appeal to their younger audiences, but also want to keep us engaged. You can never truly outgrow a Disney movie, no matter how old you are.
Dory’s forgetfulness and short-term memory loss are highlighted in this movie, and I cannot wait to see where this adventure takes everyone’s favorite sea creatures. Good thing we don’t have to wait too long to find out; “Finding Dory” hits theaters in 3D on June 17, 2016. Here, I have how I (and I'm sure many others felt) when I heard about "Finding Dory."
1. Overall excitement when I learned that “Finding Dory” was not just a rumor.
It's true!
2. For a while, it seemed so far away.
How will I survive until then?
3. But then I remember some wise words that a little fish once taught me, and I stay calm, and wait patiently.
"Just keep waiting, just keep waiting."
4. How I feel as the release date gets closer.
This is such an exciting time to be alive.
5. When I try to get my friends’ attention so they can share this great experience with me.
Hello, friends! Get excited!
6. How I feel when people say they aren’t excited for “Finding Dory”
What is wrong with you?
7. When someone agrees to go to the movie theater with me.
Thank you!
8. How I’ll feel on my way to go see the movie.
I can't wait!
9. How I'll probably act when I bond with other people my age who are at the movie theater.
It'll be fun to see what the average age of movie goers will be for this movie.
10. I'll probably get emotional during the movie, so people will be comforting me like...
"Thank you for being here with me."
11. After it’s over
I'll probably go watch "Finding Nemo for the thousandth time.
