For the past few months I've been obsessed with Urban Outfitters home decor. It's the boho-chic collection of my dreams, actually.
I've spent countless nights crawling their site, imagining what my home would look like with their rustic frames and bulb kits hanging from the wall. I've taken inspiration from their Instagram posts. But, none of it is affordable for a college student like me, so I've done research into finding cheaper options. And now here I am to tell you where to get Urban Outfitters style decor for cheap.
1. Homegoods
Homegoods is my favorite place to shop for home decor. Not only do they have a wide selection of unique items, but they have them for a decent price. Rock Salt lamps are one of the items you can find there. They bring good energy to your home as well as providing soft lighting. Urban Outfitters sells Himalayan Salt Lamps for $34, but you can find yours at a Homegoods location for anywhere between $15-35. One of my favorite collections to shop from is their Made In India collection, extremely boho and original. Homegoods doesn't have a website to order from, though, so you'll have to check in store!
2. World Market
World Market is another one of my favorite places to shop. They carry the exact same collections that Urban Outfitters has, except, again, for cheaper. One example—of many—is the Magical Thinking Pyramid Box for $18 from Urban Outfitters. World Market sells three geometric Brass Mini Faceted Terrariums for $26.97. Again, this is one of many examples, you can find all of your heart's desires in a World Market.
3. Ikea
I had never shopped at Ikea before this year, and I admit I was skeptical. I had absolutely no idea they had such cute furniture for such good prices. My favorite item that I still want to buy is their RÅSKOG Utility Cart for $24.99. I found the Collette Rolling Cart at Urban Outfitters for $149. This just stresses the importance of checking other sites before you buy.
4. Target
Yes, Target! Deep down, we're all the wife who goes drunk-shopping at Target. Don't deny who you are. My favorite comparison out of this whole list is firefly string lights. These have been so popular for so long, I finally decided to buy some. I went to Target where I found their String Lights for $6. Urban Outfitters, on the other hand, sells Firefly Battery Powered String Lights for $12 at the cheapest. I personally cannot bring myself to spend $12 on a string of little lights.
So, that's the end of the list! I hope you've added a few new places to shop around and have learned the importance of checking other stores out and scoping for the best deal. Happy decorating.
