Relationships are a funny area of life. Ideally, the time spent with your significant other should be filled with happiness, good times, and an overall positive life improvement. Coming from someone who was in a long term relationship that was lacking most emotional, mental, and physical activity, people deserve so much more from their relationships.

As people who deserve the best that this life has to offer, here is a list of things I want from a relationship during the dating world of the twenty-tens, and maybe you do too.

Find someone who...

1. Is just as obsessed with you as you are with them, and isn't bothered by it.

2. Sends Good Morning/Night texts.

3. Doesn't get annoyed with clinginess/is clingy too.

4. Enjoys giving/receiving sappy, love filled texts/gifts/speeches.

5. Laughs at your lame jokes.

6. Listens to you tell the same story more than once.

7. Has friends of the opposite gender, but spends more time with you.

8. Respects their mother/father.

9. Loves traveling and exploring new places with you.

10. Tries to include you in everything.

11. Always lets you know what is going on / never leaves you confused.

12. Is open to talking about the hard topics instead of diverting conversations.

13. Will drive to see you late at night, even if it's just because they miss you.

14. Will go to family events even if they are somewhat uncomfortable.

15. Will make things for you instead of buying gifts.

16. Will never respond with violence to ANY situation.

17. Doesn't make you feel uncomfortable ever.

18. Isn't afraid to post silly/cute pictures of you two on any social media.

19. Doesn't hide anything from you, especially texts/social media things.

20. Will never "fail to mention" that you are their girl/boyfriend.

21. Will boast about you every chance they can.

22. Will give you all the time and attention you deserve.

23. Will accept you with all your virtues and vices.

24. Won't hold your past against you.

25. Will make you smile, laugh, and glow with happiness every single day.

You deserve to be adored all the time. This life is only so long for all of us, so don't settle for anyone who makes you even slightly unhappy more often than not. Someone will give you everything you've ever asked for and more. Trust me when I say, there are good people out there still.
