Finals Week As Told By "The Office"

Finals are among us. No this is not some sick joke, although, I think we can all agree that if it were, we would all gladly laugh for a bit and head home for an entire month with no negative feelings towards whomever made the awful joke. Unfortunately, there is still a one week long road block keeping you from Netflix, your dog, and a month of zero responsibilities, and it probably looks a little something like this:

You decide to read all of the assigned reading that you put off the entire semester and realize that you should have done this months ago.

You quickly realize that there is no way you are going to get to the assigned reading, so you turn to the next best thing, the PowerPoints.

After spending hours reading through the PowerPoints, you realize that you absorbed about two percent of everything you just read, and the panic sets in.

Instead of studying, you decide to calculate the minimum grade you need to pass, and it isn't as bad at you thought.

You decide its time to get serious, and you text your friends to go to the library with you. You split up and look for a spot, and run to claim your territory when someone gets up from their table. This might be your biggest accomplishment this week so far.

After a little bit of serious studying you start to really understand what your teacher taught three months ago.

Hours go by and you just can't study any more. You're convinced that you will actually lose everything you've learned if you keep studying.

So you decide to take advantage of the finals week campus events like, therapy pets.

And free healthy snacks.

But then your friends suggest going back to the library, so you do everything you can to post pone that.

And they go along with it because who can resist a dance party in the name of procrastination?

But all things must come to an end, so you study until you fall asleep, and when you wake up, it's time.

You skim the exam and notice that the professor put some old test questions on the final.

And you try to stay strong through the parts that you don't know.

Before you know it the exam is over and you are FREE.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
