Finals Week As Told By 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'
hollywoodreporter.com

Somehow, the last few weeks of the semester have flown by and finals week is fast approaching. The stress, the piles of work, the all-nighters; it's all overwhelming. Don't worry, we're all here with you, and in a few days that elusive summer break will be here! Here are the 11 stages of finals week as told by the cast of Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

1. Denial

But don't fool yourself, no matter how much you deny it, your tests are still coming.

2. When you can put it off no longer, prepare to study

Note: This process can take anywhere from 10-10,000 min. depending on your commitment to procrastination. I personally prefer studying in a sweatshirt and sweatpants, preferably of mismatched colors, with my hair in a top knot and my glasses glued to my face.

3. Consider dropping out

Yes, I've been there too. But seriously, it will be worth it in the end. Focus on those dollar signs, future job security and freedom!

4. Stress eat

While I prefer potato chips, I've known some to reach for cookie dough, chocolate kisses and even peanut butter. Whatever your food of choice, make sure to stock up on a bunch before the real studying begins!

5. Realize you have no idea what you learned all semester

Whether it's the teacher that doesn't "believe in power points" or the teacher who drones on and on during lectures, find a good study buddy and power through!

6. Have you friend talk you down from your mental breakdown

A little stress cry never hurt anyone. Get it out of your system and back to the books!

7. Walk around delirious from your all-nighter

Coffee is your best friend.

8. Realize you don't have anything to eat since you've been busy studying

Candy will do!

9. Wallow in your misery

While finals aren't quite as traumatic as Kimmy's bunker kidnapping, they are cause to believe your imminent death. But don't worry, you can be reunited with your bed in just a matter of hours!

10. Finally, sit down and really start studying

We all know the feeling of waiting until the absolute last minute and cramming the semester's worth of information into our brains. Just remember it's a short test, grades don't define you and summer break is so close! #CrunchTime

11. Go in and destroy your finals!

You got this! Just a few more tests and summer will be here! Sun, beach and sand are calling your name! Oh, and your bed! Make sure to watch both Season 1 and Season 2, just released, of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt this summer! Congratulations on completing another year's worth of assignments and tests! We survived!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
