Every student, whether high school or college, understands the wrath of finals week. It drains your brain of overuse, your wallet of excessive coffee purchases, and most of all, your dignity. The seven-day stretch is by far the longest week of your life, and it takes everything in you to get through it physically, mentally and emotionally. The process usually begins with denial and ends with acceptance, but once it's all over, you couldn't feel any better. Parents and friends shower you with messages saying, "You can do it!" but they just don't understand. Jessica Day, however, does.

The last week of classes rolls around and you realize how much work you have to do.

There comes a moment when you look at your syllabi, or your planner if you've got it together, and you realize how much work you have coming up for finals week. Usually, your delightful professor decides to assign a paper, quiz, exam, presentation and maybe even another paper RIGHT before the final exam, just giving you so many chances to be productive! How sweet.

Then, you realize how little time you actually have to get it all done.

So now you're thinking, "Okay, maybe if I don't sleep at all for the next four days and spend every day in the library, maybe I'll get it all done." It seems like the never-ending mountain of things you have to do is going to be the end.

Final review begins in class and you realize you have NO idea what is going on.

Remember when the professor said to make sure to do all of the readings because they'd be on the final exam? Yeah, that might have been a good idea. Time to get cracking! Somehow, you will manage to fit an entire semester of readings and lectures into three or four days of studying...nothing's impossible right?!

The all nighters begin.

The hours go back and forth between productivity, procrastination and going stir-crazy, but all-nighters are a crucial part of the final exam process. At least once throughout the week, you will say "There are not enough hours in the day." And let's be honest, there's really not.

And then comes the mini freak-out.

Around four a.m. during one of those all-nighters, you realize that your four papers, three exams, two projects and presentation are never going to be completed. You're about seven cups of coffee deep, your brain is running a marathon and your friends begin to hear your craziness. It usually consists of "OMG this is never going to get done. I should just bag groceries for a living because I'm never going to finish my finals, so I won't graduate, so I won't get a job, and I won't go anywhere in life!"

You feel like it's literally never going to end.

Negativity clouds your brain in thinking about the eternity that is this week. It doesn't seem to make sense why the weeks that are so fun go by so fast, and the ones you want to end go by so slow.

You finally go into the exams.

The day is finally here. Whether it is walking into a sit-down exam, or going to turn in a paper, you can't seem to calm your emotions of anxiety, exhaustion and awaiting your freedom.

AND THEN YOU'RE FREE.

There is no greater feeling than turning in your last final and realizing you are DONE FOR THE SEMESTER. Four months of blood, sweat and tears have come to an end and it is finally your time to do absolutely nothing. Whether it's turning in that final paper or bringing your exam up to the front of the classroom, it is usually followed with a happy dance and tears to commend all of the hard work you've done.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
