Finals week is finally upon us, and that means we're almost there. We almost made it to Winter Break. Unfortunately, that means there are probably six finals, four papers, two projects, and 12,893 mental breakdowns between you and the reunion with your friends, home cooked meals, and your own bed. Here is a rundown of finals week, summed up by the Grinch:

1. You got three hours of sleep last night (if you're lucky) and your alarm goes off to tell you to get out of bed and keep working on whatever you were working on three hours ago.

2. You haven't showered, haven't brushed your hair, and you are breaking out big time. Nothing says finals week like a big red pimple right in the middle of your face, right?

3. You're back to studying and suddenly, you realize the family-sized bag of chips you were eating is empty...that couldn't have been all you.. could it have?

4. You realize you should probably go to the library to study to get away from all the food surrounding you in your room. You go into your closet to change and realize you haven't done laundry, and you are wearing your last clean pair of clothes.

5. You finally make it to the library, only to realize there are literally no seats open except for one squeezed between two people you do not want to sit next to.

6. You hear people whispering but you don't understand why because you are in the QUIET AREA of the library. You scan the room looking for the culprit, only to send a death glare their way.

7. You begin writing your essay, type "The," and suddenly everything you had planned to write is gone from your memory. You stare blankly at your computer, patiently waiting for it to come back to you.

8. Suddenly, panic hits you. You start thinking about all of the assignments you still have to do, and you are down to only three more days to do it all. You try to make a mental schedule, but thinking about how much there is to do only stresses you out more.

9. Your friends text you, asking you to go get dinner with them. What are they thinking?Do they really think that you have enough time to eat a real meal?

10. You still haven't typed more than your name, and it's already 2 a.m. You are slowly losing your mind and your focus, and all you can pay attention to is the pounding headache you have from all that thinking that you've been doing. It most likely feels something like this:

11. Finally you hear the announcement. The announcement you are pretty sure was sent down from God, Himself. Suddenly, you hear "Come on down to first floor of the library for free coffee and midnight snacks". You cannot resist the urge to squeak out a not-so-quiet praise to this mystery announcer.

12. You decide to leave the library without getting anywhere near as much done as you were supposed to. Instead, you are going to go back to your room and think about all that you didn't get done, and accept defeat.

13. At last, you are done. You made it to the last final of the semester, and you are feeling on top of the world. You are pretty much at a sprint out of the classroom, and you are certainly not trying to hide your holiday spirit.

14. You are finally home, there are decorations everywhere, everyone you love is around you, and you are stress-free. Nothing could bring you down. (Not even the fact that grades will be posted the day before Christmas).

15. You have been home for approximately 45 minutes, and you already miss your friends at school. How many more days until we're back?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
