Finals Week As Told By Barack Obama
SCPR

Finals weeks is approaching quickly. Everyone can agree that finals are stressful, hard, and maybe even unnecessary. They are the last test, that will decide your final grade and possibly your mood over the rest of break. No matter your major, how many tests you have, or where you go to school we all go through similar stages of emotions throughout finals week. Some would compare the trails of studying to the stress of presidency. So weather you're studying for a chemistry test or running the free world you may find comfort in knowing this is hard time for all of us. Happy studying!

1. Sitting in class while the teacher goes over what's going to be on the final.

2. The classic pre-study pep talk you give yourself.

3. When your roommates have to physically remove your phone from your hands, so that you are forced to study.

4. The morning of your final- confidence through the roof.

5. When you start your final and realize you don't know a single answer.

6. When you've finally come to terms with the fact that you're going to fail.

7. When you finish the test before everyone else, and you bust out of the classroom.

8. When you check your grade online and see that you passed the class.

Thanks, Obama.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
