As finals week approaches quickly, all of our teachers are giving us our final projects, final homework assignments and packing our things up actually becomes a thing. Summer is approaching quickly. Our stress levels are either at their peaks or approaching. Finals week is miserable for everyone. Teachers and professors don't want to make tests, students don't want to take them, teachers don't want to grade them and we don't want to see the grades on them. Hold on to your seat belts kids because I'm about to give you a finals week survival starter pack.
1. If there is one fun thing to do that will give you a break during finals week, take advantage of it!
For example, on the Hill there is Midnight breakfast and bingo night. (Went to both last semester). Both are 100 percent worth it! Plus, who doesn't love food and games with prizes?
2. Alcohol (I'm not condoning this), Red Bull (or Monster) and coffee.
One of the three should work. But under no circumstances do I recommend mixing these. It could be toxic to you or the ones around you.
3. Studying in the packed library.
The library will be packed. Don't try it. Trust me, you won't get anything done because of slow WiFi.
4. Study during the day, not the night.
Studying at night can be painful and tiring, so try studying during the day. If you can get outside to study, do it! Studying inside is just as painful as trying to study at night.
5. The notecard.
If you can have a cheat note card or paper, use it. Trust me, I had one for Bio in high school and it helps.
6. Study guides.
If a teacher or professor gives you a study guide, put 98 percent of your studying focus for that class to that guide. Make note cards, use Quizlet and find a study buddy from that class.
7. Get out and enjoy the nice weather.
It will give you good vibes and you can study there if you want. Plus, you can get some vitamin D as well. Exercising outside can be very helpful for brain health and it is always nice to have a change of scenery.
Don't let finals week get the best of you. Happy "Hunger Games: Finals week" edition.
