We all know it's coming. Some have countdowns started while others try to make themselves forget what lies just a few short weeks ahead. But nevertheless, finals week will shortly be upon us.
1. When that person you've seen in class one time the entire semester asks for your notes
No way, Jose.
2. When your parents ask how finals and college are going
3. How you look and feel after yet another all-nighter
If only you'd prepared before finals week. Hindsight is 20/20, isn't it?
4. Trying to appear normal when you haven't showered in days
5. When you do sleep it's a series of stress-induced nightmares
Just me? Okay...
6. How you look and feel after countless coffees and Redbulls with little to no sleep and basically no food except the Pop Tarts and chocolate espresso beans you've been eating in the hopes you don't give yourself an ulcer
7. When you realize your "backburner"class is actually kicking your ass.
8. You start strategizing ways to get better grades
But then you remember you have morals.
9. You debate making a sacrifice of some kind or bargaining with the Devil
10. Or maybe your professor will take pity on you because you've shown up and tried all semester
11. You debate dropping out altogether for the 1,000,000th time
12. And then you realize you actually have to study or you'll fail
This leaves only one option...
13. Walking to your first final wearing all black in mourning for your GPA
14. The look your professor gives you as you walk in
15. Your response
16. Your professor says everything for the final is on the study guide
17. And you're so past the point of tired that any noise makes you lose your shit: coughing, sneezing, sniffling, wheezing, audible sighs, people walking past your class enjoying their freedom and mouth breathing
18. Walking out of your final like...
19. Stress eating becomes your new pastime
20. How it feels walking out after your last final
21. And then realizing you have to do it all over again next fall
22. Here's to the inevitable craziness about to befall us all.
