With the success of "Thor: Ragnarok", the Marvel Cinematic Universe has once again asserted itself as the prime juggernaut of superhero movies. Beginning with "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk" back in 2008, this beloved superhero franchise continues to steal the hearts and minds of critics and audiences and is credited for being one of the main pioneers responsible for resurrecting the popularity of superhero movies.

5. "Doctor Strange"

Boasting hypnotic visual effects that resulted in an Oscar Nomination combined with a mastery of acting craft delivered on the part of Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton, "Doctor Strange" delivers an enthralling origin story that remains playful up until the close of the screen. Although the feel and look sometimes seems to conform to the corporate sheen of Marvel, the viewer is left with a sense of originality the lingers within its mystical backdrop.

4. "Captain America: Winter Soldier"

Set loose with an adrenaline-packed plot, "Captain America: Winter Soldier" also boasts some surprising twists powered by intrigue and deception. Drawing praise for not being CGI focused, while emphasizing on a more realistic narrative, the second Captain America installment still proved to be enthralling enough to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Visual Effects.

The debut MCU film of Anthony and Joe Russo, Marvel was so impressed with their work that the Russo brothers were promoted to take over "The Avengers" storyline when Joss Whedon exited the franchise.

3. "Guardians of the Galaxy"

Hitting the theatres in the summer of 2014, "Guardians of the Galaxy" was an instant hit. Becoming the third highest grossing film of the year, while garnering praise on the critical level for its humor, soundtrack, visuals, acting, and direction. Trademarked for its buoyant, cheeky tone delivered primarily through the work of Chris Pratt, this movie is a treat that will leave you in high spirits.

2. "The Avengers"

After the release of two Iron Man films, the first Captain America and Thor movies, the MCU trademarked itself as the superhero movie virtuoso in 2012 with the release of "The Avengers". Accruing $1.5 billion worldwide, it currently sits as the fifth highest grossing film of all-time.

Powered by a script and an ensemble cast that flushed out the humanity of the story's character on a resounding level, "The Avengers" captivated audiences and critics, successfully enshrouding viewers beneath the epic scope of its hype.

1. "Captain America: Civil War"

Making its debut in the summer of 2016, "Captain America: Civil War", like many of its MCU predecessors, was an immediate hit worldwide. Propelling its way up the chart as the 14th highest grossing film of all-time, and the highest grossing film of 2016. Furthermore, the film attracted praise for its mature, non-cartoonish plot - an element known to plague superhero films - and its thought provoking examination of law and morality.

Accruing a long list of awards, "Captain America: Civil War" is hailed by critics as one of the best superhero movies ever made. A praise it shares with the likes of "The Dark Knight".

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
