Four months, it lasted.
She had thought it
was love. But then
it fell- crashed, burned.
She was broken.
So she waited,
anticipating love, real
love. but her fears were
suffocating, and her
mind wouldn't budge.
The night would close
around her, cold
and dark. It was all she
could do to hold onto
that one spark.
A spark pure of
light, soft and so
white. It was her hope,
and her reminder to never
stop the fight.
