Floating around the internet, as well as the meme community, is the phrase "fight me". It is usually presented in a manner following a disagreement or witty comment given in a conversation. It also so happens to be synonymous with the phrase "Come at me bro" and I have come to not only love this phrase, but embrace it. And by embrace it, I mean that when I say its things are either about to go down or are quickly redissolved thereafter. Now to be fair you can't just go and fight somebody over anything... at least not without proper warning >:3.

Now I can't really say when I got this mentality but we are always told to stand up for ourselves and to fight for what we believe in and i'm doing just that! There comes a time in life when we are presented with a choice. The choice of, "which team will you choose?" And sometimes its not even a choice. We are just placed on that team and no matter how much we hate it or deny it we are stuck there. For some it's not so bad. They chose or were placed on a "good"/"popular" team. And it always seems like everything's sunshine and rainbows on their team or their team is canon. While things on the other team(s) are just a nightmare, being the butt of jokes, constantly made fun of, or dismissed. Honestly why can't we all just get along? I'm not saying we all have to agree on things or even be friends, but there is no need to be disrespectful at times. And that is were my "fight me" was born.

If you couldn't already tell, I'm a Hufflepuff. And while I use to make fun of and hate Hufflepuffs, the universe has shown me the error of my ways. Now as a Hufflepuff, I still receive a lot of BS from friends and the amount of finding jokes has got to stop... seriously -_-. But instead of brushing it all off I have decided to potentially challenge those who would dare make another joke in ill manner. If I catch any of my friends making a Huffleppuff joke I simply say, "fight me!" and it is at that point they are presented with a choice. They can either cease and desist or make another joke. If they choose to even begin to make another joke they are then charged and pounced upon by yours truly. A 6 feet, approximately, 180 lb male. Of course I'm not just pummeling them. When I enter into a fight its a tickle fight and all is fair in love and war. After years of resistance and training I have numbed myself to being tickled by others I usually win these bouts. When all is said and done Hufflepuff walks away with a win and everyone else is now second guessing on the Hufflepuff jokes.

While I doubt there will be a day when Hufflepuffs are no longer made fun of there is a lesson to be learned here. No matter how silly your idea or ideal or opinion is you must be willing to fight for it. Now I'm not saying go out into the world and get into fisticuffs with everyone that disagrees with you, but you must be willing to believe in your beliefs and defend them. But standing up for what you believe in comes with baggage. My Hufflepuff example isn't a good one for displaying the baggage, but if one day you find out that you were wrong you must be willing to accept defeat gracefully. No one ever said it would be easy, but then again the best things in life aren't. So the next time you and your friends get into a heated argument, instead of just agreeing to disagree simply say, "fight me" and if after they point they continue to run their mouth jump on them and tickle them. You both will have fun and through experience I have come to learn that you can come to better terms and understanding after a little tickle fight.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
