Having routine is the biggest way to keep your life in control, but there are lots of ways to keep your mind calm and fit.

1. Focus on What You're Putting in Your Body

Eating well is the best way to make sure that your body is healthy. When your body is healthy, your mind is healthier. Having a calm and strong mind is a sure fire way to keep you in control. Having control over what goes in your body should be the first step in your mission to take control of your life.

2. To-do Lists/Planners

I know that personally, I would be lost without my to-do lists. Having everything together in one place and organized, keeps me on schedule with everything in my life.

3. Find a Skin Care Routine

Keeping yourself and your skin healthy, will give you a routine. It will also have you feeling and looking happier!

4. Clean

It has been shown by multiple studies that having a clean work and living space helps clear one's mind. Cleaning can also be a great relaxer after a stressful day.

5. Exercise

Exercise keeps your body and mind fit. It is proven to increase your happiness levels and is sure to get you motivated.

6. Write (or find a creative outlet)

Whether it's writing or reading, sometimes a creative distraction can be the right choice. It will help more if the distracting activity fuels your brain or your body, but anything that helps you relax can give you a better hold on your mind and your life.

Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
