When stars and stars collide.

The constellations may or may not predict your destiny, but, hey, even I can’t help clicking on those Buzzfeed quizzes asking which Friends character you are based on your zodiac sign. Whether you are a fiery Aries (like me) or a gregarious Libra, you most likely appreciate any music suggestions people throw at you, but these women in pop are shattering gender expectations and making waves in the music industry. After all, their immense success is written in the stars.

Aries (March 21 to April 19) -- Bea Miller

Aries embodies the strong woman who never lets anything get in her way, not even a glass ceiling. Bea Miller’s bold, fierce synthpop will make any fearless, independent Aries dance. Start with her catchy, rebellious single “Young Blood.”

Taurus (April 20 to May 20) -- Tori Kelly

Tori Kelly is not only insanely talented, but she is also one of the most down-to-earth, kindhearted singers in the music industry today. Perfect for the loyal, patient Taurus. Start with “Should’ve Been Us.”

Gemini (May 21 to June 20) -- Tegan and Sara

Maybe it’s because of the whole twin-thing, or maybe it’s because Tegan and Sara’s lively, energetic dance pop suits Gemini’s bubbly personality so well. Start with “Closer.”

Cancer (June 21 to July 22) -- Lykke Li

With an emotional voice that wavers over heartbreak, Lykke Li is the perfect match for a sensitive, empathetic Cancer. Start with passionate, sorrowful “Gunshot.”

Leo (July 23 to August 22) -- Marina and the Diamonds

Classy, dramatic, and creative. I literally couldn’t think of anyone better fitting for the Leo persona than Marina. Start with her single “How to Be a Heartbreaker.”

Virgo (August 23 to September 22) -- Yuna

For the intelligent, level-headed Virgo, Yuna’s music is the ideal way to blow off some steam. Start with her bouncy, hopeful song “Rescue.”

Libra (September 23 to October 22) -- Halsey

Like the Libra, Halsey can charm anyone who lays an eye on her. Graceful, but edgy. Take a listen to “Colors” now.

Scorpio (October 23 to November 21) -- Sky Ferreira

Passionate, emotive. Sky Ferreira’s music is multifaceted -- from glam-pop to pop-rock -- just like the complex, emotional Scorpio. “Sad Dream”, reminiscent Lana Del Rey’s Ultraviolence, is acoustic and soulful.

Sagittarius (November 22 to December 21) -- Lana Del Rey

The modern-day Nancy Sinatra, Lana has had her share of fame. For someone who “wishes [she] was dead,” Lana’s lyrics depict an easygoing, Sagittarian free spirit, chugging down Diet Mountain Dew and kissing James Dean like nobody’s business. Start with the iconic “Born to Die.”

Capricorn (December 21 to January 19) -- Alessia Cara

Whether you’re an antisocial pessimist or the girl who’s always gossipping about her friends, Alessia Cara’s genre-bending R&B pop makes an ideal match for the patient, reserved Capricorn. Start with “Wild Things.”

Aquarius (January 20 to February 18) -- Melanie Martinez

Melanie’s playful, creatively executed pop will definitely appeal to the quirky, offbeat Aquarius. Start with the Lesley Gore-sampling “Pity Party.”

Pisces (February 19 to March 20) -- Grimes

Grimes’s creative, genre-bending experimental pop will please even the most sensitive, emotional Pisces. Start with the dreamy, ethereal “Realiti.”

The summery skies are beckoning your name. Make good choices, Bears!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
