As a young adult, it is not always socially acceptable to crave three bowls of absurdly sugary cereals for breakfast. However, I still think it should be allowed to at least admire the sweet deliciousness of everyone's favorite cereals growing up. See if there was a spot for your favorite cereal!
Reese’s Puffs
Peanut butter chocolate flava! This delicious flavor combination is absolutely irresistible. The sugar rush you would get on your way to school after devouring three bowls of this delectable cereal was the best experience of your young life.
Cap'n Crunch
They stay crunchy! Even in milk! These golden squares of godly goodness were always a personal favorite of mine. The absolutely sweet and slightly salty flavor was extremely delicious. Sometimes I would put these in small ziplock bags and eat them without the milk!
Cookie Crisp
The purpose of this cereal was literally to make it socially acceptable to eat cookies and milk for breakfast… I mean, COME ON it has to be one of your all-time favorites. I would always drink the milk after I ate all of the cereal cookie crisps to get those last little bites of happiness.
Cocoa Puffs
Believe it or not my Grandpa coined the slogan “Coo coo for Cocoa Puffs”! And boy oh boy does our family follow that motto. This miraculous cereal has the power to turn your ordinary milk into CHOCOLATE milk just by eating the cereal. It is truly one of a kind.
Fruity Pebbles
This cereal is essentially sugar dyed in all the different colors of the rainbow. You can be almost certain that your parents drew the line when it came to buying this sugary rice cereal, so you would have to wait for the special occasion of going to your grandparents' house to indulge in a delicious bowl of colorful delight.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch
This cereal represents all things good in the world. It has been rated the most unhealthy cereal of all time, which makes it all the more desirable. I could eat this cereal at any time of day with or without milk because it is simply THAT good.
Lucky Charms
They’re magically delicious! I may or may not have been the member of my family who would pick out every single mouthwatering marshmallow in the box, but the world will never know. This cereal was always fun because it came with a lucky prize inside that would make me a little bit too excited as a kid!
Trix
Trix is clearly for kids because I am slightly proud but mainly disappointed, to say that I have not had a bowl of this creatively colored cereal for over ten years. This was another one that my parents rarely let us have in the house because the sugary goodness would have us bouncing off the walls before school.
Smorz
Last but most certainly not least would have to be the S’mores cereal. This is probably my favorite cereal of all time because the heart wants what it can’t have, and we were only ever able to eat this cereal when we were at my beach house in south Jersey because for some unfortunate reason it is not available up north.
I hope you enjoyed reliving your youth! Now go eat a bowl of cereal!
