If you are anything like me, you like to shop, have a variety of clothes in your closet and save money.
For me, I like to buy as many clothes as possible- I'm always perusing Nordstrom, J. Crew, Zara and ASOS. However, I have a really hard time branching out and buying new jewelry, sunglasses, purses, or items of clothing that I know I can only really wear once.
Thankfully, I have found many solutions to wanting to save money, yet change up my wardrobe.
1. Ditto: Ditto is a service for renting sunglasses. They carry everything from Karen Walker to Illesteva, and even Ray-Bans. I have used it for the past two months, and I have really enjoyed using it to get fun pairs without having to pay for different pairs. So far, I've gotten the Illesteva Leonard's and the Ray-Ban aviators. It is $19.95 a month, and you can keep the pair as long as you want, and when you switch pairs, you simply send the old pair back within five days.
2. Birchbox: Birchbox is the perfect way to sample a wide variety of makeup and beauty products for $10 a month. Once a month, a package will arrive with five different samples to try. You can earn back five dollars by reviewing all of your samples that you received, and you can use it towards full-size purchases from the Birchbox shop. There is also a Birchbox Male that includes different sample products for shaving.
3. Bag Borrow or Steal: Bag Borrow or Steal, is featured in the Sex and the City movie, and is a way to change up handbags without committing to designer prices. You can choose from Gucci to Goyard, to YSL and Tory Burch. Prices differ per bag and the rental period is one month.
4. Rocksbox: Choose from three jewelry pieces or a per-curated set at at time and swap out things whenever you choose. Rocksbox is $19 a month and offers everything from bold statement necklaces to dainty bracelets. Every month you receive ten dollars to apply towards the purchase of any of your jewelry.
5. Rent The Runway: I have used Rent The Runway since my cotillion days in 9th grade, and have never been disappointed. My graduation dress, formal dresses and even rush dresses have come from Rent The Runway. Simply choose a dress, choose a backup size and select for four or eight days, and it will arrive sometime before your event with a prepaid shipping label. If you're unsure, you can order any other style for $35. Rent The Runway has also introduced a new service where you can pay $99 a month and select three items to keep as long as you like.
With Football season and Date Parties upon us, these companies will have you looking your best.
