Since when did wearing our moms’ old style of clothing become popular and trendy? In this past year, the new trend that we are seeing is old, vintage, 90s, 80s. Fashionistas learned a way to bring back the old styles in a trendier way that fits the generation that we are in. From head to toe, we are recovering the 90s styles that our moms thought were cool. If you have not seen or tried out these trends yet, be sure to give it a go.
Chokers- we saw this trend a lot in the 90s and in the early 2000s. The trend used to be tattoo chokers that are just simple black swirly lines. The chokers that are coming back are definitely not just plain black. From gems to bedazzle to satin, the choker is making a huge comeback but better and prettier than ever.

Denim Skirt- we all remember the long jean skirts that our moms wore and thought that we would never be one to wear one, oh boy were we wrong. Jean skirts are now designed to be shorter and with a little more flare.
Adidas- I remember when I use to wear Adidas when I was a kid and absolutely hated them. But now, I see them everywhere and it is not that bad. Whether it is for a sporty look or for a trendy look, Adidas goes well with everything.
Bodysuits- These little things might not be the most comfortable things in the world but they are definitely show-stopping. The concept of a body suit is amazing, who likes tucking in loose shirts all day long…
Overalls- Denim overalls might be one of the cutest trends this season. It completes a whole outfit and it is comfortable. I still have pictures of me when I was 3 wearing denim overalls and who knew after 17 years I’ll be rocking them again? They are still the same concept but just a little more distressed and ripped.

Front Tie Shirts– The hippie trend is here and making its way to the top.Front tie shirts are cute for the fall and summer time. It does not matter if it is paired with matching shorts, skirts or jeans, these front tie shirts will make you look hipster all the way.
Bell sleeves- Sticking with the hippie trend, big bell sleeve shirts are coming back. Just like the front tie shirts, bell sleeve shirts pulls a whole outfit together and makes it look more trendy and hipster.

Round Sunglasses- now moving on to the face, instead of wearing aviators or your free sunglasses you picked up at an event; wear some big round colorful shades. It is fun and let us not forget that it looks amazing in pictures.
Mom Jeans- Go to your mom’s room and take those old jeans that she has and cut them up. Ok, maybe ask for her permission first before doing that. Mom jeans are the perfect bottoms for a simple short sleeve shirt. If your mom does not have any, check your local thrift store.
Maxi Skirts- In our generation, we went through this phase where we thought the more skin we show, the better it is. However, the style of skirt that is popular right now is maxi skirts. The conservative look is viewed as trendy and I’m sure your parents are loving this trend.
