Fashion Addiction

What is Fashion? Fashion is a powerful thing. Fashion is something that makes people stand out in a crowded room, it is what brings out peoples true colors. What makes us truly us. I, Myself love all the things that have to do with fashion, and I might say I have quite the addiction. When I see clothes, I picture outfits, I picture freedom, I picture beauty, and most importantly I picture confidence. One of my earliest memories of the fashion industry is roaming through the streets of Millan, watching the models freely walking around wishing one day I would became a part of it. A part of this magical world I see as the "Fashion Industry." I just wondered how they did it? How they walked around with so much confidence as if they owned the world. I thought it was truly amazing how one piece of clothing could make someone feel so beautiful and especially so powerful. Each person had a story to tell based on what they were wearing. As I grew up, I developed a passion for fashion. I wanted to be different, I wanted to stand out in the crowds. I wanted to be a form of speech without me having to say a single word.

I'm sure every girl goes through this. The phase of wanting to put an outfit together and wanting it to be perfect. My vision was different. My vision was to put an outfit together that expressed who I was and who I wanted to be. An outfit that spoke my mind, conveyed my thoughts, and demonstrated who I truly was. An outfit that I was capable of looking in a mirror and knowing that it "was the one." An outfit that showed I was not afraid of the world, and most importantly not afraid of judgement. An outfit that reflected an attitude. An outfit that was important, and made me feel good no matter what others thought.

Observing people and seeing how different their styles are has always intrigued me. A piece of clothing can tell a little bit about the person; how they are like, how they may act, or most importantly how comfortable they feel about themselves. One person's appearance is like the window of the world. It being a factor for everything; for jobs, for friendships, for relationships. It is the way a person is initially seen and judged, without knowing a story, without knowing a thing.

Fashion is meant to be a form of self-expression. Fashion is not just fashion to me. I see fashion as one of my biggest passions and one of the things that I truly love. I see fashion as a form of self expression and as a way of feeling comfortable in your own skin. Fashion isn't about buying a "cute outfit", it is about being confident and truly owning it. Most importantly I believe fashion is about showing your uniqueness. That is why I decided to start a fashion blog a couple months ago. (@buongiornofashion) My blog's main purpose is to spread positivity, and to express my ideas and feelings. It is a form of expression and the essence of who I truly am. Everyone is unique in a particular way, but most people are afraid to show it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
