Dear Odyssey,

I am devastated that I have to say this, but our time together has come to an end. As I grow older, I have newer challenges to face and mountains to climb. Although I may be moving on to other adventures, I will never forget all of the opportunities that you have bestowed upon me.

First, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank you for being my pen and paper throughout the past year. From writing about college and family-life to ranting about the future and also about how much I despise Valentine's Day, you have allowed me to put my words out in front of the public for them to be read. I thank you for the chances that you have given me, and I never will stop writing, especially because of how inspired I have been so many of the other content writers that work with you as well.

Writing for you was not always easy. Coming up with a new idea each week definitely had its challenges, but you let me by creative self. An example of this is when I had no idea who to write about one week, and then out came the article, "25 Things To Write About When Writer's Block Hits You Too Hard" and it was a great one. Although some articles were difficult to finish, others came as natural as scribbling down a journal entry, and those also happen to be my favorites, especially "How Millenials Hide Their Hearts" and "I Choose To Live For The Day" because of how personal they both were.

Being a college student isn't easy, yet you allowed me to go on and on about my successes and struggles without any judgment or despair. My social media pages will begin to feel empty without my weekly article posts and those by others, but I will be sure to fill in the empty space with more of my own written words someday soon in the near future.

Odyssey, I may be giving you up for now, but I promise I will never give up writing. You have taught me that no matter what I have to say, someone will always be there to listen with their ears wide open. You also taught me that creativity has no limit as long as it is 500 words or more (kidding!). From deep within my soul, I thank you once more for the writing experience of a lifetime.

With all my love,
Sara

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
