Family is one of the most important things in life. Without family, we have nothing. We may have ourselves, but the people who truly care and push you to succeed are your family. Family can be anything and anyone. You don't need to be related to someone in order to be their family. Blood doesn't create family and blood does not determine your family. Blood is something you may share with your family; however it does not define family.
Many people have many different families in their life. Their real family, work family, or maybe a family of friends. Family is what carries us through the storm. Family is something we don't realize we need until it is gone. Family may not be around forever, but they will always hold a place in your heart. One day, you will think back to a time when a lot was unknown and family was all you had.
The values and lessons learned from family are some of the most important lessons life will ever bestow on you. One day, you will create your own family and life will be a lot different than it once was. Sometimes you will get sad and sometimes you will miss the way things used to be. Never forget where you came from and never forget the people who you met along the way. Stay humbled and life will provide you with what you need. When you feel as if your back is up against the world and you have no place to turn, you will always have your family to keep you warm and grounded. I know life is hard and sometimes you want to give up, but keep your head high and keep on going because I know you can.
When you need them the most, they will come for you. Family comes in all shapes and sizes. Do not let anyone ever discriminate against your family for any reason. Your family is your family and no one else needs to understand. As time goes on, family changes in size. We gain new family members and sometimes lose the most important ones.
