Family is defined as a group consisting of parents and children living together in a household. But, personally I believe my family is so much more than that.

Yes, we live together and sometimes we are forced to like each other. But, deep down we love each other more than words can say and we only try to better each other.

My family consists of my mom and dad, me, my two sisters and my brother. We are far from perfect but the relationships we have together are all cherished closely. There is fighting, scratching and sometimes we yell so loudly at each other that our neighbors hear us; but that is the beauty of a big family.

On a good day, we all compromise and do things together. My favorite thing to do with my family is going away every year to our vacation spot on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. I feel like all our bickering mostly goes away, and we make memories that last a life time. We always put aside our differences the moment we step on the first step of the condo, and we start making the best of times together.

Our family is blessed with extended family. And when I say blessed, I mean blessed. They are always there for us, whether we need a bottle of ketchup or a ride to work in the morning. We also get the chance to have two of our baby cousins in our life during the week because my mom babysits them. And let me tell you that is the best thing in the world. There is nothing better than having two smiling children in your life Tuesday through Thursday's. We are all very close to our extended family. I have aunts, uncles and cousins that care for me very much and there is nothing better than that.

The holiday's are my favorite time with my family. We all laugh and enjoy each other's company. Our family's hearts are huge and we all care for each other very much. There is nothing better than our family's food. I can almost smell it while typing this. Both my mom, aunt and cousin make meals that will fill up your stomach in a matter of minutes. And even if your too full after dinner, there is ALWAYS room for dessert, and our desserts are almost as good as the main courses. Being Italian is also always a plus, because there is always pasta in the fridge.

Family is one of the best things this life has to offer. They are there for support, comfort, and making you always feel better. My family and I are very close and I would not change that for anything. I could not ask to have a better loving, crazy, big family. Family is everything, and family is forever.
