It's the first weekend of October and it is starting to feel and look like fall outside as I walk around on campus. Fall is one of my favorite seasons from the cooler weather to the gorgeous scenery. Now that fall is starting to settle in us, here are some of the things I look forward to as the season begins!
1. Cooler Weather
First the temperature drops from being smildering hot outside to finally be just perfect in the lower 70's and 60's. The air has become crisp and the smell of fall begins to settle in. Since the weather has dropped in temperature, hoodies and boots start to make there appearance again. I love wearing hoodies and boots to class. The most comfortable outfit in my closet (and my favorite!) This type of weather also calls for lots of hot chocolate and apple cider. Some of the best drinks on this planet but then again that just a personal opinion!
2. Bonfires, Haunted House and Pumpkin Patches
Once the temperature drops, I love to sit around a bonfire while making s'mores and hanging with friends. I just need to grab a cozy blanket and I am good to go! However, I do know a good scare is also needed during this time of the year. In order to achieve that, I enjoy going to haunted house that are near me. There are several good one within an hours of where I live. I do understand that not everybody likes being scared so maybe a pumpkin patch is more suitable for those instead. Pumpkin patches are so much fun to go to with my family! My whole family will go and we will each pick out a pumpkin that we want to carve or paint. It has become a family tradition and it's one that I enjoy very much. Dad is the master carver in our house and nobody can top the things he carves in his pumpkins. If I am being honest here, the best part is baking up the pumpkin seeds to eat. I can snack on those things for days!
