Fall TV Shows Are Back

Fall TV Shows Are Back

It has sure been a long summer for television viewers. Seasons ended early in the spring and fans have been waiting patiently to find out what happens next for the characters.

Miss Shonda Rhimes not only breaks our hearts in" Grey's Anatomy," she also blows our minds with her other shows, "Scandal" and "How to Get Away with Murder." Almost all of her shows have been runaway successes, with lead actresses Kerry Washington ("Scandal") and Viola Davis ("How to Get Away with Murder") having won awards. All three of her current shows return Sept. 24 for a whole season of #TGIT.

Beyond the ABC universe, NBC also has "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago PD" coming back for their third and fourth seasons. The network has created a Chicago trilogy with the addition of "Chicago Med," to create more crossovers between the shows. Dick Wolf, executive producer of "Law and Order SVU," is also serving as the executive producer. "Chicago Fire" returns Oct. 13; "Chicago PD" returns Sept. 30; and "Chicago Med" premieres on Nov. 17.

NBC also has "The Blacklist" coming back Sept. 24, with fans looking forward to what craziness James Patterson has thought of now. "The Voice" comes back with Gwen Stefani instead of Christina Aguilera this season, and new contestants will come back to the stage to stare at the back of chairs before they turn around on Sept. 21.

Fox and CBS had their big return to peoples' hearts with the return of NFL Football. The boys from Fox NFL Sunday are bringing back the laughter and facts of football into people's lives, although Terry Bradshaw has announced that this will be his last season with the show. You will be missed, Mr. Bradshaw -- that, and all of the bald jokes they make at you.

Not to be forgotten, "New Girl" returns to screens later this fall and award-winning drama, "Empire," premieres Sept. 23.

Set your DVRs, ladies and gentlemen, your favorite TV shows are back to blow your minds and make you fall more in love with the characters.
