If there's anything in particular that I love about the fall time, it's most definitely the new makeup trends. From bold burgundy lips, to dramatic smokey eyes, fall is the perfect time to whip out your makeup skills. One of the best things about living in the city is how fashion forward and up to date everyone is on the newest trends.
Here are 10 easy and wearable makeup trends for fall 2016 that you can easily rock in the vibrant city:
1. Flushed cheeks
Cute rosy cheeks are super in lately because they give you the perfect flush of color. If you're not a big fan of blush, use a more neutral shade to achieve the same look. This will give you a fresh and radiant look.
2. Winged eyeliner
This is my personal favorite because I for one can't live without a sharp winged eyeliner. Dramatic liner in general is starting to make a come back. Not only is it super artsy, but there's so many variations of the type of eyeliner looks you can create.
3. Glitter
Glitter can be worn super dramatically paired with a smokey eye, or used as eyeliner for a more subtle look. If you're just starting out, I recommend purchasing a glitter eyeliner because it's much easier to use and will give you the same sparkly look.
4. Gothic makeup
Dark lips are a must during the fall time. But recently, intense dark lips like black and deep vampy purple shades are super popular. You can pair an intense lip with a more bare eye for the perfect look.
5. Smoked out lash line
Another one of my favorites, a smoked out lash line is perfect because it can amp up any look. For a more intense smoked out lash line, I use a black eyeliner as a base and then I go in with dark brown/ charcoal eyeshadows to deepen the intensity.
6. Radiant, dewy skin
Because the cold weather tends to dry out our skin, it's important to keep our skin hydrated. To achieve this trend, take extra care of your skin and opt for BB creams instead of heavy foundations.
7. Fake eyelashes
If you know me you know that fake eyelashes are my life. If you're just starting out with falsies, pick up a natural pair from the drugstore. This season, feathery and flirty lashes are super in because of the way they accentuate your eye shape.
8. Warm copper tones
Sunset eyeshadow shades such as warm oranges, bronzes, and coppers are perfect for the fall season. Not only do they scream fall, but they're natural and can be worn on a daily basis.
9. Highlighter
Highlighter is especially in season this fall. Instead of packing on the highlight, use a lighter hand to give yourself an overall glow. Skip the heavy contouring and use a glow-y highlighter to give you more radiance.
10. Messy eyebrows
Eyebrows brushed upwards are in season and can be seen all over the runway. Instead of cleaning the edges of your eye brows afterwards and being super precise when filling them in, brush them out a bit more so they have a more natural look.
Here's to an endless amount of new makeup looks this fall.
