May 1 marked the official release date of Urban Decay's new palette inspired by the Disney movie, "Alice Through the Looking Glass." You can find this palette in stores such as Sephora, Ulta and Macy's. The cost for Urban Decay's new palette is $60, which features 20 brand new shades. The eye shadows are arranged in columns according to which character they are associated with. The palette comes with a variety of shades, including matte finishes, shimmery hues and bold bright colors. With this palette you can create a variety of looks. Being a huge fan of Urban Decay, the one question that comes to mind: Is Through the Looking Glass really worth it? That is why I have swatched each shade for you to see! Looking Glass (extremely pale pink), Reflection (peach matte), Dormouse ( matte brown with gold sparkles), Metamorphosis (matte powder blue), Hatter (vibrant bold green), Gone Mad (dark purple with a slight pearl), Paradox (orange with pearl sparkle), Cake ( hot pink with a very saturated blue hue), Lily ( iridescent pink), Duchess ( peachy-pink), Kingdom (coppery- brown) and Chessboard (light matte brown).
From top to bottom:
Heads Will Roll (turquoise and gold shimmer), Bandersnatch (dark teal), Salazan Grum (dark crimson), Royal Flush (pale pink with pearl hue), Time (dark navy blue metal), Dream On (light purple with silver sparkle), Chronosphere (deep matte bronze) and Mirror (taupe grey with a satin finish).
Is this palette worth it?
Urban Decay did it again with these very pigmented colors. The colors go on evenly and leave no fallout behind! The blend beautifully together when used in any makeup look. The various shades are also perfect for work or a late night out on the town. If you are an Urban Decay fan, this palette is highly recommended! There are a ton of colors to mix and match with, it is almost hard not to create the perfect look for any occasion. This palette is for a limited time only, so if you loved the shades as much as I do, go out and get it. This is something any Disney or Urban Decay fan will fall in love with.
Try this look:
Lid: Mirror followed by Dream On lightly pressed on the lid.
Crease: Blend in Chessboard
Brown Bone: Royal Flush
Outer Corners: Time
Lower Lash Line: Mirror
Upper Lash Line: liquid black eyeliner (any kind will do)
Mascara: preferably any black or dark brown
Apply any light colored lipstick such as a nude or light pink.
Very light bronzer to contour the cheek bones a bit.
Blush just above the cheek bones.
