So, I know I'm not the only one who thinks they are a famous YouTuber and makes fake YouTube tutorials in their bathroom mirror. Who else explains step-by-step what they're doing to their imaginary subscribers? Now I'm not the best at makeup but I will say I am pretty good. If someone who is a professional makeup artist saw my makeup routine, they would probably laugh right in my face.
I have come to find that it doesn't matter really about the technique as long as the outcome looks good, so here are a few things I have learned from my makeup journey.
1. BLEND BLEND BLEND
GiphyI think this one is pretty easy, BLEND! Whenever you put on foundation or concealer blend in the makeup. Take a beauty blender, make it damp, and start patting never rub. You don't want to have a caked face, so continue to blend until everything looks set.
2. EYESHADOW
GiphyNow, I'm not the best at eyeshadow but I've come to find that it's actually really easy with great practice. I personally always stick with natural colors for my eyeshadow just because to me its easier to work with.
I recommend always put a dab of concealer on your eyelid to make it easier to blend in your eyeshadow. Also, know your brushes, this means play around and find out which brushes are easier for you to use when to comes to your eyeshadow.
3. HEY HIGHLIGHT
GiphyAlthough highlight is not necessary, it's helpful. Highlight helps to leave you with a glow. I like putting highlight on the bridge of my nose because of the natural glow look it gives me. You can even use a good eyeshadow as your highlight which is what I always do. Highlight helps with enhancing your look.
4. YOU BETTER BAKE SIS!
GiphyLastly, set your face, also known as baking. This means taking a setting powder, tapping it on your face where makeup has been applied such as foundation, let it sit for a minute or two, and then just brushing it off. This will help to ensure that you makeup stays throughout the day.
