Well Panther Fans, it's my pleasure to bring you a second edition of "Expressions of the Fanzone." The first edition was from a picture from the UNI v. UNC game where UNI basketball upset the #1 seed in the nation in the McLeod Center, to Panther Nation's delight.

This edition does not stray from big upsets, this time we take a look at a picture from September 13th, 2016: the UNI v. Iowa State volleyball game. Again, it's from our lovely university photographer, Roland Ferrie.

Why is this match up significant? Well, just as the UNI v. UNC basketball game was kind of a big deal, so was the UNI v. Iowa State volleyball game. Iowa State had won 10 of the 12 games in the series, and the struggle on the 13th was no exception to past years. The scores of the matches were: 27-29 (Cyclones), 40-38 (Panthers), 25-23 (Panthers), 17-25 (Cyclones), 15-10 (Panthers).

But let's get to what's important here- the expressions of the fans in the student section. Yes. You may see yourself or people you know.

Once again, the expression "titles" are meant in jest.

So let's get down to it.

1. The "Hold up bruh, gotta do my pre-game stretches."

Don't want to pull a muscle throwing my hands in the air or clapping loudly bruh, that would be bad.

2. The "Ah man, I don't know if I can handle this."

I mean, that's understandable, it was a pretty back and forth match.

3. The "I need to tell you something important.... I may have burned the lasagna."

Please don't hate me. It was an accident.

4. The "Casual and subtle fist pump."

Face and hair paint, as well as leis, are optional.

5. The "I respectfully disagree with that call!"

6. The "I DISRESPECTFULLY DISAGREE WITH THAT CALL!"

7. The "I'm not sure if I respectfully or disrespectfully disagree with that call."

8. The "OH we did something good. Go sports team!"

Seems a lot like this scene from the "IT Crowd."

9. The "Slipping on a Banana Peel."

Yes, it's a very cartoonish concept, but those peels can be very slippery.

10. The "I have made a terrible mistake."

*remembers something from 12 years ago.* Oh my God why?

11. The "Please Lord God let us beat the Cyclones."

*Please let them realize that it's a Panther State, not a Cyclone State. That it's Panther Nation, not CyclONEnation*

12. The "Grumpy Cat."

Iowa State is losing? GOOD.

13. The "Rock Concert Point."

Panther fans put your hands in the air!

There's also a bit of a death glare in there, I'm just going to point that out, but rock on Panthers.

14. The "I'MMMMM GONNA SWINNNNNNNNNG FROM A CHANDELIEEEEEER."

When you really just gotta belt that certain part of a song.

15. The "Happy Walk Meme: Panther Edition."

So much happy.

16. The "Mom brought home Pizza Rolls."

Say what? YASSSSSSS.

17. The "Mmmmm.....'kay."

Mmmmmmmmmm 'kay, you're doing the creep ah ah ah, but okay.

18. The "Contemplating Life."

He could be contemplating dinner. He could be contemplating aliens. He could be contemplating his facial hair. He could be contemplating life. Or he could be trying to remember if he left the oven on. We'll never know.

19. The "I no longer think that's a good idea."

Alternatively, "I didn't suggest that," "what are you doing," and "That didn't go as planned."

20. The "Hey so I have this great story haha oh you're not listening."

We've all be there.

Alternatively...

21. The "So I have this great story *immediately gets the attention*"

22. The "Getting/giving directions."

Yeah, so if you want to get from McLeod to the Dome, you go out those doors over there and...

23. The "Confused Clapper."

Erm, yes, am I supposed to be clapping here? Did I hear you correctly? Was that a good or bad call? I don't know.

24. The "Ah yes, very good Jeeves."

There's something about this clap, or maybe the facial expression that's just like "ah yes, Jeeves, jolly good show, pip pip."

25. The "Frustrated golf clap."

26. The "Yeah okay, I guess that was okay I could clap for that."

In shorter terms, the "sarcastic slow clap." Could be used in a moment where you're like "well, it wasn't good enough, but I guess I'll clap."

27. The "Pringles."

You know how, as a kid, you'd put two Pringles in your mouth to make the "duck lips?" Yeah, this is the same, minus the Pringles.

28. The "Hulk roar of approval."

This guy's stance just kind of clicks with "Hulk" and the phrase "HULK SMASH."

HULK SMASH THE IOWA STATE CYCLONES.

29. The "OHMGOODNESS I THINK THE PANTHERS ARE GOING TO DESTROY IOWA STATE."

Complete and utter excitement with hands up almost in what one could consider "fangirling" position? Go Cats.

30. And of course, "Accepting victory."

Victory for UNI, GO CATS.
