College is a wonderful time filled with learning experiences and friendship. You get to learn things about the world and about yourself. However, there are definitely somethings about college that exhaust us to no end. Over time, every college student gets tired of hearing certain things over and over again.

1. "Your college years are the best years of your life!"

College is a wonderful time in a person's life and I can honestly say that I love being a part of it all. However, I think we are all tired of hearing that 'these years are the best of our lives'. Our independent lives have barely begun, how do you know that these years are going to be the best? College is a fun experience, but I think that most people who say these things forget exactly how college was.

2. "You should go to bed earlier if you are so tired!"

This is also a kicker to those taking a semester of work-filled classes. Listen, I am not staying up to three a.m. working on this essay because I really want to do so. A lot of the time, work just has an awful way of piling up on a student and soon you find yourself buried in an avalanche of essays, tests, and projects. I wish I could go to bed earlier.

3. "Where do you see yourself in the next few years?"

Sometimes I don't know where I am going to be seeing myself in a few hours. What makes you think that I will know where I am going to be exactly in a few years. Let me just get through with this week and then I will get back to you on that.

4. "Should you really be eating that?"

Listen, I just skipped breakfast so I could study for my upcoming Chemistry exam, let me just have this one slice of pizza. I don't think that will kill me today.

5. "You should socialize more!"

Sure! I am just sitting in my dorm room studying for my six tests next week because I don't want to go out and hang out with my friends. I am mentally brain dead, let me just take a quick breather and then we can get back to that issue.

6. "You should have checked the syllabus!"

We all have heard this one at least once in our lives. You know that syllabus you get at the beginning of the year along with the many others from your other classes? HOLD ON TO IT. It is now your class religious text. Now study, learn it, become it. If not, you will be hearing this phrase way too many times over the years.

7. "Can you send me your notes?"

There always seems to be that one person in your class. They don't show up at all and then all of a sudden they become your best friend. You know why? It's because you are the person who goes to every single class and copies down the notes like a boss. Now, these freeloaders want to capitalize off your success. These are definitely people I can live without, thank you very much.

8. "How many cups of coffee have you had today?"

The answer is always not enough.

Trust me.

Never enough.

College can be one of the best times of a person's life, there is no doubt about that. That doesn't mean there are no annoyances along the way.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
