An Exclusive Father's Day Interview
Brittany Corbitt

With Father's Day just around the corner, I wanted to conduct this fun interview with my wonderful husband and honor him by allowing him a moment in the spotlight.

I thought this would make for an interesting read and it may even inspire you to do one yourself so let's get started!

Brittany: "Hello, hubby!"

Josh: "Hello."

Brittany: "I have some questions to ask you in light of Father's Day being just around the corner. Thank you for allowing me to interview you, by the way!"

Josh: *chuckles* "You're welcome."

Brittany: "Have you ever been interviewed before?"

Josh: "Nope."

Brittany: "Awesome!"

Brittany: "So what are some of your favorite childhood memories?"

Josh: "Going hunting and fishing with my parents."

Brittany: "What are some of your favorite hobbies?"

Josh: "Anything I can do to be with my family, really."

Brittany: "What did your parents teach you that you appreciate now?"

Josh: "Umm...They actually tried to teach me alot of morally good stuff. You know, not to lie. Don't steal. Things like that."

Brittany: "Who is someone that inspires you?"

Josh: "Steven Furtick."

Brittany: "What would you like to do with just me in the future."

Josh: "Go on an exotic vacation.

Brittany: "What would you like to do in the future, including the kids?"

Josh: "Go on a vacation out of the country."

Brittany: "You just like vacations, huh?"

Josh: *chuckles* "Yeah, I like vacations."

Brittany: "What is your greatest strength?"

Josh: "I'm hardheaded."

Brittany: "That's a strength?"

Josh: "Mhm. When used in the proper way."

Brittany: "What is your greatest weakness?"

Josh: "My temper."

Brittany: "What are you fearful of?"

Josh: *sighs* "Missing the opportunity to witness to people or just not being bold enough with my Christianity and people going to Hell because of it."

Brittany: "That's heavy."

Brittany: "What makes you happy?"

Josh: " My family."

Brittany: "How can I add to your happiness?"

Josh : *grins seductively*

Brittany: *laughs out loud*

Josh: "Just be you."

Brittany: "Thanks, babe."

Brittany: "What do I do that irritates or frustrates you?"

Josh: "Hmm...When you get in your feelings."

Brittany: "How can I help you be a better father?"

Josh: "Just be on the same page with me. In the same chapter."

Brittany: "Same book?"

Josh: *chuckles* "Yes, at least the same book."

Brittany: "Describe your relationship with God at present to me."

Josh: "I'm just trying to learn more about Jesus Christ and what He done while He was here on earth. Reading the Bible helps me so much. I know Him because of it and I trust Him. I haven't read the Bible through yet but I'm eager to learn more and more."

Brittany: "Tell me about the most memorable time that you connected with God."

Josh: " One of the deepest times was actually here recently. I faced a difficult situation, yet, I felt His presence really thick and this really heavy peace just began to flow inside of me."

Brittany: "What do you love about each of our children?"

Josh: "Well, Aden is smart and has a really, really, really good memory. We love to do alot of the same things like being outside together. Nevaeh can be really sweet when she wants to be and she's real cute."

Brittany: "What hopes and dreams do you have for each of our children?"

Josh: "I just want them to grow up to see things for the way they really are and not become distracted by the world and end up making bad decisions like I did. Just be true followers of Christ."

Brittany: "What are you most thankful for?"

Josh: "That God spared me long enough for me to get my mind right."

Brittany: "How have you changed since our marriage?Josh: "Well, I got saved so..I got rid of a lot of anger and resentment, bad habits and depression."

Brittany: "What do you like about our marriage?"

Josh: "It's pure. It really goes back to us getting saved and really diving in. It's made us all giddy for one another again. It's like being teenagers again but with purity attached. No more feelings of guilt all the time." *laughs*

Brittany: *chuckles* "Hallelujah!"

Brittany: "What gifts do you see in me?"

Josh: "You have discernment. You have Holy Spirit in you. You're a really good writer and you have a testimony that can reach a lot of women. You have a nice intellect. You have a talent for playing instruments, even though you don't ever play them." *looks at me sideways*

Brittany: "That's very sweet. Thank you'"

Brittany: "Is there anything you regret?"

Josh: "No, because everything that's happened has gotten me here so why regret?"

Brittany: "Boom!"

Brittany: "Last one. Tell me something about yourself that I may not know."

Josh: "Hmm..." *pauses intently to think* "There's nothing you don't know."

Brittany: "That's great! Thanks for sitting down with me and allowing me to interview you. I love you!"

Josh: "I love you, too!"

That concludes my interview. I hope you enjoyed peeking into our lives for a moment and I wish all the amazing father's out there, including my husband, a Happy Father's Day!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
