I have four favorite characters in 'The Walking Dead." Unfortunately, one of my favorite characters is no longer with the show. He moved on to do movies. One of my favorite characters is Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus. The second favorite character is Merle Dixon, played by Michael Rooker. The third favorite character is Carl Grimes, played by Chandler Riggs. And my final favorite character is Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln. Daryl and Merle are brothers in the show. Originally in the comic book, Daryl was not a character in the comic book. After he did an audition, the director and creator of the show decided to make a character for Norman. Carl and Rick are father and son in the show and you can feel the compassion between them as father and son. I am going to talk about why I like these characters and how they have progressed. In this article, I am going to talk about why I like the Grimes.

Rick Grimes

Rick Grimes is played by Andrew Lincoln. Rick Grimes is the husband of Lori Grimes. He is also the father of Carl and Judith Grimes. Judith was born in the third season after Lori died while giving birth to her. This became a major turning point for Rick. This warped his mental state in the show. He became overly emotional and irrational. He then became a danger to the group and himself. He eventually snapped out of it when he realized that he had a baby to take care of. At the end of the fourth season, his father side came out again. He saw his son Carl in trouble and he snapped and killed the guy that was holding him back. Then he killed the guy who was holding his son down. Everyone realized that he was back to his normal self. Now to talk about his son.

Carl Grimes

Carl Grimes is played by Chandler Riggs. Carl Grimes is the son of Lori Grimes and Rick Grimes. He is also the older brother of Judith Grimes. In the second season, Carl is shot in the side by a hunter and this leads to the group going to the Farm and Lori finding out that she is pregnant. This leads us to realize that Carl is a very lucky person. This is not the first time that Carl is shot in the show. In season three, Carl had to put down his mother after she died while having her sister Judith. At first Carl rejects Judith and then he accepts Judith. But this causes Carl to shut down for a while. Carl becomes hardened and he becomes a walker killing machine. In season five the group goes to Alexandria. Here, Carl forms a relationship with another survivor and it is a cute love story. In the sixth season, the walkers get into the town of Alexandria and the survivors try to fight. In the end, Carl gets shot in the eye. He turns and looks at his dad. The scene matches directly with the comic book. This causes Carl to have a badass look. He is a sweet boy.

This is the character development of the Grimes boys. I hope I did not give too many spoilers if you are not too far in the show.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
