Dear Mom and Dad,
First off thank you, thank you for help guiding me to where I am today. Thank you for sitting through every parent teacher confrence. Thank you for always answering your phone, no matter how many times I call a day. Thank you for sitting through every dance recital, even though I know it was sometimes torture. Thank you for being my biggest cheerleaders when I accomplished a goal. Thank you for you everything you have ever done and more. Without your guys guidance I would not be the person I am today.
From all the late nights with homework where one of you guys would stay up with me just to edit a paper that was due the next day to yelling at my every morning to get up or we were going to be late. I am beyond appreciative of things you guys have done for me, those things have not gone unnoticed. Whether it was you guys taking turns to drive me to the dance studio, taking a car full of girls to the movies (sorry dad!), or taking me shopping for every high school dance there was. I’m sure at the time it didn’t seem like I really appreciate those things but I do more than you guys could ever know.
Mom- I am so happy I have your sass, it really comes in handy sometimes! Thank you for sharing your love of shopping (especially at Target) with me, your eye for decorating, and giving me the best advice. You have shown me what it’s like to be a wife, a mom, a sister and a friend. I am forever grateful for the advice you have given me through the years. I’m sure at times it didn’t really seem like I was listening, but trust me I was. You have never left my side through every break up or the end of a friendship, no matter how many tears I shed you were right there.
Dad- First off, thank you for being the first man I have ever loved. You have shown me how to be independent, which comes in hand all the time. The way you teach me things without me even knowing it was a lesson amazes me. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t know how to change a brake light, check my tire pressure, set up a camper or build a fire. Your love of the outdoors has rubbed off on me in so many ways, I always look forward to summers spent with the family outside. I am forever grateful for showing me how a man should be in a relationship. You and mom have always been an amazing example of the kind of relationship I want for myself.
You both of have instilled so much in me and to this day continue to guide me in the right direction. You guys will never understand how much I appreciate the little things you do for me, those have had some of the biggest impacts on my life.
