An Evening With Red Letter Statement

Think loud, meaningful, head banging rock, with tons of energy, that is Red Letter Statement. Based out of Rochester, New York, Red Letter Statement (Otherwise known as RLS) is an alternative rock band formed back in 2007. After the release of their demo EP in 2009, RLS began playing various New York and New Jersey area Hot Topic locations. Over the Next few years, they toured with some notable acts, which included Andrew W.K., Story of the Year, Ice Nine Kills, and Bad Rabbits. With the help from fans around the world, the band was successfully able to launch their most ambitious project to date, titled “Love People” in 2014. If you like catchy & melodic rock, Red Letter Statement has just that.

I was lucky enough to meet with Adam August (vocals), Anthony Carvalho (Bass), and Mitch VanDenBerghe (Guitar) and ask them a few questions about their come up, their passion for music, and what having a beard means to them.

Adam and Mitch also performed an exclusive acoustic version of their song “Fire Inside” which was featured on their 2014 release, “Love People.” Enjoy.

I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment.
