If you read the last chapter then you know the tips to cat-proof your home. Next, let’s go into the next chapter of the cat series: How to entertain your furry friend. These tips will not only entertain your furry ball of happiness, but also entertain you in the process.
Our cat is entirely his own personality. Our cat Jinx enjoys the way we spoil him. He has so many things he does not need. So if you enjoy spoiling your four-legged friends, then read on to find another set of tips on how to spoil/ entertain your furry friend.
1. Laser Pointers
Our cat loves to chase things, so we invested in a laser pointer. Jinx loves to chase it up and down the hallway. This is a great way to give him exercise while he is an indoor cat.
2. Windows
Keep a window perch so your furry friend can keep an eye on the outside world. Even indoor cats enjoy the outdoors!
3. Attention
Schedule time with your cat. They need attention, and if they don't get attention they usually destroying something. Our cat gets very quiet when he gets into something he isn’t supposed to.
4. Cat Trees
Jinx has his own cat tree. He is allowed to scale up and down the tree as much as he wants. We even tied some old curtains around it to make it fun for him.
5. DIY Toys
Along with the cat tree, we have DIY cat toys that include a mouse on a string hanging from a chair or doorway. He loves chasing it up and down.
Jinx has his own wants when it comes to entertainment, mainly getting into things he isn’t allowed to. I looked on Pinterest for DIY cat toys. Check out this link to make your own cat puzzles. I used an old Tupperware container!
