As college students whether it be graduate or undergraduate we all know that the end of every semester ends up being complete madness. We all feel like we are about to lose our minds with all the things that we have to do, and it just keeps getting worse as the days go by. We all know about that home stretch, so I decided that for this article I would write six things that all college students know to be true by the end of the semester. Especially when it gets close to finals week. So without further delay here are five things we all feel at this point in times of the semester everyday.

1) Homework, Homework, Homework!

By the end of the semester whether it be spring or fall, we all get to a point where our homework feels like we climbing Mount Everest. It seems like no matter how much we do there is always more to be done especially around finals time. between all the papers and reading we have to do it is amazing that we are still going strong and we all know it. But hey we have to keep pushing right.

2) Where did the day go?

I know I am not the only one who thinks when it gets closer to finals it seems like there are not enough hours in the day, and time seems to be flying. It's like you wake up at 9 blink your eye, and poof your day is already over. Like seriously where is the day going?

3) Welcome to Crunch Time

Now we all know that the end of the semester is crunch time. There is so much to be done in so little time and you have to get it all done so we are always going. It looks and feels like you are always rushing and in reality you are always rushing. This is what crunch time is all about though. Rushing to get everything done.

4) I Need Caffeine!

Coffee or Caffeine becomes your best friend by the end of the semester whether you like it or not. Eventually you are going to need that energy boost, and usually a vanilla latte with two shots of espresso becomes a huge part of your daily routine. Of course some people just get a cup of coffee or some green tea but hey it's all caffeine right.

5) Sleep Deprivation

By the end of the semester when it comes to sleep we all look like some zombies walking around. Whether you are pulling an all nigher to study for and exam, to do homework, or to finish and important Thesis we all know that the sleep deprivation is real. We all end up asking "how long can a person go without sleep again?"

6) Giving Up on School!

How many of you have said "I'm this close to dropping out and becoming a stripper"? A lot right? lol It is okay you are not alone. We all have been there at one time or another and though we know that we are joking, sometimes we really mean it a little.

College is fun and great sometimes, but coming down to the end it because a hassle and though we all hate the hassle we still love being able to learn.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
