End Of The Semester As Told By Michael Scott

As April comes to a close and the end of the semester is looming over our heads, we are all beginning to feel the same pain. You know, the crazy amount of assignments that all of our professors just decided to wait until the last two weeks of school to assign. Now you find yourself sleep deprived, on a caffeine high, and running around like a maniac trying to complete all of your assignments before their deadline. Now I know you must all be feeling depressed and stressed out, so here is a funny end of the semester as told by our favorite Dunder Mifflin Manager, Michael Scott himself:

You think "Alright I have like three more weeks left to complete all my assignments, its cool I totally got this."

Then your professor begins talking about all the assignments you have due before the end of the semester that you avoided taking any notice to for as long as you could.

So you decide to make a list of everything you have to do and realize that you have more than you thought you did.

So you decide to go get some ice cream instead and avoid all your responsibilities for a few more days.

Then after a few more days of procrastination and binge watching Netflix you decide you should probably start some of that school work. You crack open that bio textbook you haven't opened all semester and realize you don't even remembering learning any of it.

So then you try to give yourself a little pep talk to make yourself feel better about knowing absolutely nothing.

After that you begin trying to cram every single thing you should have been learning all semester into one week of studying and go MIA in your group chat, because who needs a social life anyway?

Then you give yourself another little pep talk, trying to make yourself believe that finals don't even matter.

Soon you realize that you have a paper due, presentation and exam all on the same day and wonder if you should just drop out of school and consider other options.

So then you try and give yourself another pep talk in the mirror.

Then to make matters even worse, your professor tells you that your exam is going to be cumulative.

You start feeling delusional and in desperate need of sleep.

Then you try to actually pay attention in class for the last week hoping this will somewhat help you on your final exam.

Finals week is finally here and you sit down to take your exam.

But then exams are over and it's finally summer time and you can completely push everything out of your mind that you just tried to cram in there for the last 2 weeks.

Hang in there guys, we got this!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
