Sorority recruitment is either the best or worst week of your life; there is no in between. Whatever way you look at it, you are bound to be driven crazy at some point during this two week long period all dedicated to the new members whose names you will not know until next year's recruitment rolls around.
1. You return from spirit week to be reunited with all of your favorite people.

2. Then, suddenly, you remember that you are trapped in your sorority house for the next 12 hours.

3. Someone messes up your bouncing group during rotations and you have to start all over again.

4. A “good luck” gift arrives from another sorority that typically involves some kind of food.

5. You hear an echo of “shut ups” being shouted by so many different people that is actually creating more noise.

6. Your recruitment chair tells you to do the skit full out one more time, which turns into five more times.

7. The seniors play a prank that involves a mixture of strange foods and shaving cream.

8. When the first day of open house arrives and you realize you actually have to convince people to join your sorority.

9. You uncontrollably yawn repeatedly in front of a really great PNM.

10. When everything gets real on preference day, and you can no longer hold back the tears.

11. You find out your rush crush joined a different sorority.

12. Finally, bid day arrives when you see all the perfect new members running onto your lawn.
While recruitment can only be described as an emotional roller coaster, once you look around and see all the amazing new girls that have joined your sisterhood, it is impossible to feel anything less than thrilled.
Until next year...
