Some people still make fun of girls for liking One Direction, but now that it is 2015, can we just move on and admit they have great voices and songs? The boy band recently released their new album, "Made In The A.M." and I had the album on pre-order for a few weeks. Finally, the album came out and after a full, critical review of each song, I can personally confirm it is absolutely amazing. Admittedly, it is not a "stadium album"; instead, it's full of more relaxed and emotional songs. Although I am still mourning the loss of Zayn (RIP), I absolutely adore how the boys' voices sound on their fifth studio album. Waiting for and listening to this album has many emotional stages.
1. Finally being able to pre-order the much-anticipated album.
Spending $14.99 on an album you can't listen to right away is definitely worth it.
2. Then realizing how long you have to wait until you actually get to hear the songs.
I need this album now, and iTunes is telling me I have to wait how many weeks?
3. Getting ready to embrace the full experience that is a new One Direction album.
Just let the music wash over me and envelop my entire essence.
4. Trying to express to someone your excitement about the album
Then comes the crushing disappointment because they say One Direction is only for pre-pubescent 12-year-old girls.
5. Trying to find the leaked songs on Tumblr, but realizing they are all awful quality.
6. Jamming out at 1 a.m. when the album is finally available to download in the US.
Who cares if I have class in the morning? I have to listen to it!
7. Then being late in the morning for class because you overslept from staying up too late listening to the beautiful voices of four British guys singing to you.
Sorry I'm late, but I have a really good excuse.
8. Walking down the hallway, listening to the new album, and instantly being in your own music video.
What do you mean I'm not the star of One Direction's new music video?
9. Jamming out, but not being prepared when "Infinity, Love You, Goodbye" or another heart-wrenching song comes on shuffle.
I was not ready to have my heart broken. One Direction has me missing someone I made eye contact with three years ago on the T.
10. When your roommates asks if you're really going to spend all day in bed listening to the album and eating.
Probably. I mean I have a few essays due, but this is more important.
11. Remembering One Direction is going on hiatus and trying to be happy for them going on break, but really wanting to scream.
"They deserve a break," I say while gritting my teeth in the fakest smile.
12. Sliding away from all your responsibilities to listen to the album.
What do you mean I have to keep up with my school work? This album is more important.
13. Dancing to the new album in front of your friends, and not even being embarrassed.
This is the real me, guys.
14. Talking about "Made In The A.M."
Yes, this album is all I care about right now.
15. Setting a song off the album as your alarm to make waking up a bit more enjoyable.
Those first few chords of "Drag Me Down" are the perfect alarm.
16. Not being able to fully express the love for the album.
"It's just so good! I can't even."
17. When you're out in public and hear someone mention the words "One," "Direction," and "album" in the same sentence.
This sounds like a conversation I would like to join.
18. Wondering what you're going to do while they are on hiatus.
What am I going to do now that I can't spend my money on radically overpriced concert tickets?
19. Realizing you talk more crap about the band more than people who actually don't like them.
"Yeah, I know they're stupid and the album is overhyped, but I love them and it's amazing."
20. Talking, through the computer screen, to Harry, as if he could hear you.
21. Thinking you have time to rock out to the album in peace, but then your roommate walks in.
"Oh no, she definitely saw me dancing way too hard."
22. Recognizing another fan in public because you can hear "Made In The A.M." softly coming from their headphones.
"Is that 'Walking in The Wind' I hear? Hello, fellow One Direction fan."
23. When you realize the album has cleansed your soul.
This album really was an emotional expierence.
