Those of us who grew up in the early 2000's may be graduating college and landing real world jobs now, but that doesn't mean we can't look back at old memories every once and awhile. If you went through a "scene phase" or were an emo kid back in the 2000's, we've got the perfect list for you. How many of these things do you remember?
11. 'Degrassi: The Next Generation'
Remember watching this one after school? Here's a trailer that had us practically rolling on the floor laughing. We've come a long way from those days, but we're sure most of you still dig Ellie's hair.
10. 'I Miss You'
Easily one of the most well known alternative rock songs of the early 2000's, Blink 182 had a major hit on their hands with this song. It's been over twelve years since this song was released and we still remember it fondly.
9. Jared Leto
Jared Leto. Actor, singer, and director. Most Americans will know him for his upcoming role as the Joker in "Suicide Squad," but to the emo kids of the 2000's, he is best remembered as the lead singer of "Thirty Seconds To Mars."
8. 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'
Every Christmas, as the family gathered around the television at night to enjoy various Christmas specials, you would always insist that Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" be included in the mix. Because what's cooler than mixing Halloween and Christmas?
7. Stickam
What a blast from the past! Before Skype and Hangouts, there was Stickam, a popular video chatting service which allowed users to broadcast live and chat with friends and strangers alike. Unfortunately, the service shut down in 2013, though YouNow seems to function in much the same way.
6. AIM
When you got home from school, you had to log onto AIM and update your away status. Daily AIM Chats with your friends were the highlight of your nights.
5. Fall Out Boy's Song Titles
I rest my case.
4. Generic Anime
Sasuke taught us how to be bad. Kakashi taught us how to be a badass. Naruto taught us that we can overcome adversity if we just hold onto our dreams.
3. Spending Hours On Your Myspace Page
You had to get that Myspace profile perfect. That meant hours of tweaking the HTML and CSS on the page. You also had your favorite music playing for all your profile visitors to hear.
2. LiveJournal
Myspace was cool, but you let your real feelings out on the LiveJournal blog that only your closest friends knew about.
1. My Chemical Romance
I bet you still know every word of this iconic song.
