Being a college student is stressful enough. But it's even more annoying when people are constantly questioning your life decisions, and more importantly, questioning your college major. And elementary education majors hear it ALL THE TIME.

No one seems to think of education majors as hard-working, or as taking "real majors" for that matter. But that is far from the truth. Just because some of our classes our spent decorating posters and completing different activities that our future students will complete; doesn't mean we don't have to study or work hard to get that 4.0 GPA.

And nothing is more irritating or defeating than an elementary education major constantly having to hear all of these annoying questions and comments just because we decided we wanted to educate future generations, which to me, is one of the most noble professions of all. Here are just some of the questions and comments that education majors are hearing EVERY SINGLE DAY... sickening, no?

1. You aren't going to make any money.

2. Are you afraid that you won't find a job?

3. You know you can't teach anywhere right? You have to get re-certified in every state you move to...

4. Don't you know that soon your job will be taken over by computers?

5. Do you even teach real material anymore?

6. Aren't kids just glued to a computer screen all day?

7. Wouldn't you rather do something with your potential?

8. Why not be a nurse? You can still work with kids...

9. Do you even have real homework?

10. Do you now how hard it is to have a real major?

11. It's not too late to choose a different major.

12. Do you just color in all of your classes?

13. Do you even have to take legit classes?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
