It is almost July and the summer is nearly half over! That is probably the last thing some of us want to here, but with the time we have left, here is list of things to do before summer is over.
1. Go to a concert.
There are plenty of concerts that take place during the summer. Summer is the perfect time to attend an outdoor concert to see your favorite band and rock out to your favorite song. Sometimes tickets can be a little pricey, but treat yourself to a fun night with friends by splurging a little!
2. Swim or tan.
With the hot temperatures, it is great time to jump into the pool or ocean! Or work on getting that nice tan before you go back to school. If you go to the beach, scuba diving and jet skiing are also fun activities to do. Take full advantage of these hot, sunny days!
3. Catch up with old friends.
Sometimes, we get caught up in the busyness of our daily lives, but summer is the time to relax. Maybe you have some old friends you haven't spoken to in awhile: take a day and do something fun together! Pick up where you left off and continue your adventures together.
4. Travel.
Summer is the perfect time to go see the world. If you have saved up some money from your job, take a short trip to another state or even another country. Adventure to a new place for something different. Just set a small budget for the trip so you don't go overboard on spending money and go enjoy yourself on your new adventure!
5. Go to an amusement park.
Amusement parks are a great place for a fun day. Take a friend and ride some coasters! Or if you're not a roller coaster fan, maybe go on some spinning rides or win some prizes. There is a good chance that some parks offer discounted tickets on certain days.
6. Go on a hike or go camping.
There is so much to explore in the outdoors, so pack up a tent and lace up the hiking boots to rough it for a weekend. Go fishing in the nearby lake and then end the evening singing crazy campfire songs and toasting marshmallows for yummy smores!
7. Start a healthier lifestyle.
With the nice weather, it is a perfect opportunity to go for a run or play a sport. Summertime is great for ice cold smoothies and cool refreshing salads so maybe that New Year's Resolution to lose some weight is not a total bust. Take full advantage of the sunny days and run your heart out! Sign up for a 5K to raise money for a local charity, or if you're feeling really adventurous, maybe train for a half-marathon.
8. Most importantly, just relax.
Like I said numerous times, summer is the time to relax. If you are a student, enjoy your time off. You worked hard all year and you deserve a little time off. Regardless of what you do, just have fun and relax. Take the time to de-stress and prepare yourself for another year.
