Should Our Education Be More Important Than Other Things?

Did you ever wonder what jobs would put your life in jeopardy? There are so many jobs out there that will come to your mind but there is one that many people never thought would never be a life or death matter. I never thought that my career would put my life in jeopardy. My career is teaching and when I heard that there was a fight between teachers and police in the town of Nochixtlan, Mexico. I started to read the article. I can’t believe the massacre that happen in this town just because the town’s teachers do not want implement the new education law pass by their president. It has been ongoing war for decades, and the war is ongoing. They are always fighting to have more rights. Here is the link to the article if you would like to read more about.

I was always knew that the education world is unbalanced in our country, but I never knew how lucky we are to have the option to fight and sometimes win. There are so many people that don’t know how lucky they are to have teachers that fight for their right to to learn. People think that education is not worth their time. I don’t who you are, if you are in the United States take the opportunity of the education given you. I know some people that have taken the opportunity and they are illegal in the United States, but they have fought for their right to get educated. I’m going to the best I can to fight for education rights. I know that there are some teachers that don’t deserve to be teachers, but there are a lot more teachers who do care. I wished I had more teachers that cared so that I could have a better education.

Then, you have some people criticizing those who want to study and get the appropriate education, but can’t because they are not from here. They called us lazy and say we don’t want to make the this country great. No matter where you go and where you come from, people are always going to judge because you are going to get want you want. Education is something that you should not take lighty. There two videos out there about two girls being the top of their class and getting scholarships for college. So you can’t tell me that some teachers don’t do their job because they do.

People are so worried about our country being run by immigrants but that was what we started with so what is our problem. People are just scared to realize that together we can do better. The media has it where they are pitting us against each other and telling us that fighting against each other is the way to go. I can’t believe that people about to elect people who aren’t even close to being the great president. You people need to open your eyes before we are hitting rock bottom but I think we need to realize what we are going to lose. Just because is not important to you does not mean that it is not important.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
