In a world full of ridicule and judgement, it's easy to get caught up in life's unexpected adventures and rollercoasters. At times, we find it hard to take a step back and really think about what is really necessary in life.
Many times when we think of simplicity, we correlate it with decluttering, removing or giving away items that no longer serve us. However, simplifying your life is not only about getting rid of the clothes that you no longer wear or everything that you've been hoarding in your closet for the past couple of years.
Simplicity is in the mindset.
Rather than decluttering material objects, it is good to declutter your mind from thoughts that no longer make you happy or bring you peace. Limit your thoughts of resentment, hate, and jealousy. They never improve the quality of life for a single human being. Simple grace and poise will do.
Albert Einstein said, "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex... It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction." Know your goals, strengths and weaknesses, and limitations and try to create a better version of yourself than you already are.
Have gratitude for life and just live.
