It may still be technically your twenties, but being in your early twenties is actually way different than being in your late twenties. I came up with nine things where thought processes tend to differ from your early to your late twenties, but there are certainly many more than are on this list.

1. Staying up late..and sleep in general.

Sleeping

Your early 20s:

-I stay up all night every night.

-Who needs sleep?

-Oh, it is 4 am, I guess I should go to bed now, so I get some sleep.

Your late 20s:

-I am almost always in bed before midnight.

-I need all the sleep I can get.

2. Going out..especially at night.

Going Out

Your early 20s:

- We will meet at around 10 pm.

- Let's go to the club and drink and dance all night long.

Your late 20s:

- Going out at 10 pm? At night? Are you kidding?

- Drinking and dancing in a crowded club for hours and hours? Oh hell no.

3. Handling your finances.

Finances

Your early 20s:

- I will save money later.

- I can buy whatever I want on my credit cards and deal with paying the balances off later.

Your late 20s:

- I need to start saving towards important stuff like buying a house or a car.

- Student loans are going to own my soul for the next twenty years or so.

4. Thinking about the future.

Future Plans

Your early 20s:

- I have all the time in the world to think about my future.

- I can worry about 'figuring my life out' later.

Your late 20s:

- I am almost 30 and I STILL do not have my life perfectly figured out!

- I am so totally failing at life right now!

5. Social Media.

Your early 20s:

- I need all the friends.

- I need to delete this photo because nobody liked it.

- I need to turn on every and all notification.

Your late 20s:

- I cannot be bothered to be notified of every single post, like and share.

- Quality over quantity when it comes to friends.

6. The morning after heavy drinking.

Heavy Drinking

Your early 20s:

- I feel totally fine.

- Let's do this again next weekend and every weekend.

Your late 20s:

- I need like three days minimum to recover from this.

- I never want to do this again.

7. Diet and dieting.

Dieting

Your early 20s:

- I can eat anything and not gain any weight.

- My stomach can handle whatever I eat or drink.

- My cholesterol, blood sugar, etc. are totally fine.

Your late 20s:

- I actually have to watch what I eat if I do not want to gain a ton of weight.

- Certain food and drink combinations are now a no-go if I want to not feel like hell in two hours.

- I have to watch my cholesterol and stuff like that now.

- I should actually schedule regular checkups.

8. Worrying about what others think about you.

Worrying

Your early 20s:

- He/she thinks what about me? That is so not true!

- Constantly worrying about what every person they encounter is thinking about you.

Your late 20s:

- He/she thinks what about me? Oh freaking well who cares?

- I do not have that much time or energy to worry about what everyone thinks of me.

- You cannot please everyone.

9. Driving.

Your early 20s:

- I want to drive all over the place.

- Sure, I will gladly drive everyone everywhere.

Your late 20s:

- I hate driving

- I want to drive as little as possible.

- Everyone else drives like a total idiot

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
