It’s Never Too Early For Christmas

Fall is my favorite season, but the most magical holiday of the year is, of course, Christmas! As soon as the summer ends, we all get ready for Halloween, but when the 31st finishes, there is a whole new aura in the atmosphere. You can feel it around you, it’s all over you… Christmas is right around the corner.

It's never too early to get into the Christmas spirit!

Decorate your house with lights and ornaments to suit your interests, and do it a month before so you can stare at it for a longer time! The more lights your tree has, the more lively your house will be. Those lights and those colors will bring happiness into your home, into your neighborhood and even in yourself.

It’s not only a magical season, it’s the happiest holiday. Everyone knows that Christmas makes everyone and everything better. Even if you think it’s too early, you can’t forget that Christmas is near, every single house and store will remind you.

While you walk down the street, beautiful houses, lights, and decorations will illuminate the neighborhood. When you go in the stores, you hear Christmas songs playing. When you go to the supermarket, almost every package of chocolate, candies, cakes and cookies have a Santa Claus on it. When you go to Starbucks, they give you the red Christmas mug with the gingerbread cookies on it! When you go to Macy's, you are surrounded by amazing, joyous decorations. So, guys, it’s never too early for Christmas- especially when you can’t escape the unbelievable awesome spirit. Hang the stockings on the fireplace and sing amazing Christmas songs. They might remind you of childhood and you will get a bit nostalgic, but there’s nothing better than spending some time with your family.

So get into that Christmas spirit! Don’t think about the exams you have to take, the stressful college mood you're in because you have to do a million things. Just get into that spirit and everything will be better, you will be nicer and happier because there’s a magical scent in the air. No one is mean during Christmas, it's the joyous part of the year, so enjoy it! And what makes Christmas so special, is the snow. Pick a day to spend some time with family and friends at your own house- especially if it’s snowing. It’s the perfect time to light your fireplace, make Christmas cookies and listen to some Christmas music while you are surrounded by bright lights. There is nothing better than getting prepared for this special spirit. Enjoy the winter wonderland, go out and make a snowman, have fun with your friends in the snow and of course, eat as much chocolate as you want. Have fun and enjoy this magical season!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
